About Our Pastor
Pastor Frank Stevenson is a visionary leader on a mission to advance the Kingdom of God through sound biblical teaching, authentic leadership, and cultural engagement. Known for his unique blend of humor, dynamic delivery, and powerful biblical exegesis, Pastor Stevenson has become a sought-after preacher for churches, conferences, and ministry platforms nationwide. He acknowledged his call to preach in February 2003.
In February 2007, he was unanimously elected as the 8th pastor of the historic St. Luke Primitive Baptist Church, where under his leadership the congregation grew from 50 to over 1,000 members in ten years. In recognition of his impact, he was named 2011 Pastor of the Year by the Nashville Gospel Music Awards. Pastor Stevenson is the founding pastor of City of Grace Church and currently serves as the Senior Pastor of Friendship Missionary Baptist Church.
Beyond the pulpit, Pastor Stevenson is deeply committed to civic and community leadership. He serves on the boards of the Nashville General Hospital, Nashville Predators Foundation, the Tennessee Historic Commission, and the South Nashville Youth Football League.
Professionally, Pastor Stevenson holds a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Tennessee at Martin and a Master’s in Public Administration from Murray State University. He is currently completing his doctoral studies at Trevecca Nazarene University. He also serves as Associate Vice President and Dean of Students at Tennessee State University, where he has led innovative student programs and housing initiatives. His previous leadership roles include Executive Director of a Charter School and Executive Deputy Director for the Tennessee Office of Minority Health.
A devoted family man, Pastor Stevenson was born on February 21, 1974. He is formally married to Lekita Stevenson, and together they are raising seven children: Matthew, Tayanna, LaMonica, Frank Jr., Jasmine, J’ron, and Orlando.
